Typically strange and beautiful day at Baldy. Hardcore skiers out for a day of sunsine and snow down to the parking lot. After the Beckett play that is getting tickets at the Baldy window (15 minutes for 3 people in front of me), I took the meditation machine, er, chairlift up to the top where nice cruising hardpack awaited. Old timers in their time-machine skinny 205s carved down the runs and guided the newbies to Nightmare, which had about 6 different types of snow conditions, from chunder to corn, all of it carveable and a blast to bomb down.
