Baldy Yesterday

Skied Baldy Yesterday during the storm 2/14/09. Started out really blowing and storming - miserable, then the winds let up and the pow started dumping. -- Awesome. bad thing was locking the parking lot and only allowing 4wd w/chains down!

Only major change from 2007-2008 (re-opening year) was that "No Name Trail" under chair 3 was renamed "Brien's Shoot"

Sierra Summit is located at Huntington Lake in the Central Sierra about 50 miles East of Fresno off Rt. 168. Real fun mountain, great family atmosphere and inexpensive lodge (with cozy apres bar) located at the base. As the crow flies it is about 20 miles southwest of Mammoth Mtn, which means it gets plenty of snow.
