Absolutly worth it for me. Valley is litterally in my backyard...5-10 min to the parking lot. Ive held a season pass for several years. Had one at Summit for several years before moving up here. In my experience, Valley gets more snow on most storms. On weekdays the norm is to ski into the lift line and if there are 6 people waiting it is unusual. The mountain holds stashes days after storms and if you are willing to hike all the better. The mountain crew works hard and the patrol is top notch.

Sierra Summit is located at Huntington Lake in the Central Sierra about 50 miles East of Fresno off Rt. 168. Real fun mountain, great family atmosphere and inexpensive lodge (with cozy apres bar) located at the base. As the crow flies it is about 20 miles southwest of Mammoth Mtn, which means it gets plenty of snow.
