I loved:
No crowds, cheap tickets, great weather.
I hated:
Not much vertical (Poma 3 isn't running).
Lift/trails closed:
Poma 3, all advanced terrain.
Liftline waits:
10 people max (usually no line).
Quality of moguls:
Small, scarce.

Skiing with the spousal overunit. We figured everywhere else (for the bigger
resorts) would be really crowded. Only the low-speed quad chair was running
(other than the beginner lifts), but the snow surface was nice and there were
hardly any people there. This area is a good sample of what skiing was like 30
years ago. I wanted to break in my new boots and tune up before going to
Mammoth. All in all, a pretty good day. I would recommend this place to
families with kids who want to introduce them to skiing, or anyone who just
wants to go out and goof around for the day. No huge thrills, but lots of
smiles! :-)
