I arrived late today, as I was busy getting my daughter set up for her first
day of skiing. I started skiing at 2 PM. Much of Thunder Mtn. is roped off due
to icy conditions. Robin's was skiable, though I had to watch for icy spots.
Bonanza was better. Chair 4 really was the place to be. Due to the more
Southerly exposure, the snow had softened and it had decent spring conditions.
Coverage is still decent, though some thin spots exist.
There was evidence of tremendous runoff during the past 2 weeks, but the base
is largely intact.
Sport Chalet and some other shops are selling Baldy tickets (good for one day
for the rest of the season) for $25.00 each. Once we get more snow atop this
base, I'll be taking advantage of that deal.
