Lots of cover gone since my visit 1/1/05 -- plenty of evidence of serious rain
and runoff -- blowdown, huge crevasse under bottom of Thunder lift (guy fell
of the lift into it and had to be carried out on a backboard) and north-facing
slopes which were closed as they resembled glaciers. Still some fun to be had
on Chair 4 and on south-facing slopes on Thunder. Don't rush up unless it
snows again -- didn't soften on 4 until 9:30 and on Thunder until 11 -- and
watch for rocks off-piste where the best corn lies.
Let's hope it snows -- gonna need a good bit to cover up the ice.
