Quality of moguls:
too much new snow for moguls

First day after the "big storm". Lifts opened 30 minutes
late, and until around 10AM, only Chair 1 was running. If
the delay was really due to ice in the gears, why weren't
they out at 6 AM with flashlights and icepicks? ;-)
Out of desperation, I hiked up under the then not running
Chair 5 to put almost-first tracks down the Calico Ridge
area. Great coverage, no rocks/bushes, 1-2 feet of fresh
powder with some wind crust.
Liftlines were ridiculous until they got the other chairs
running. I feel they could have handled this better,
knowing that a large crowd would be expected after the
biggest storm of the season so far.
Lower half of the mountain had some almost hardpack-type
conditions near the base; upper half was entirely powder,
packed power, and wind crust.
Hey Mtn. High, how about upgrading those pathetic restrooms?
