Opening day was fantastic, L.A. Times article did a pretty good job describing the scene.

My first time at Waterman, I especially enjoyed Wallbanger and face runs 2 and 2.5.

Thick crust off-piste (1/2 to 3/4" by my estimates); will be interesting to see how/if the snow softens.

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome ba-aack! :)

rentals

u can get rentals at sport chalet, MW does not provide rentals. the face has some of the best runs i hav ever been on

Mt. Waterman

I sure spent a number of days as a kid at Mt. W. Remember the LOWA rental boots? MW was Just 45 minutes from our house, the face of Waterman was an intense, steep uncrowded practice hill. That is as good as living in Colorado, just 11 bucks and 45 minutes away.

My mind immediately snaps back to MW, when I get a drift of diesel smoke on a cold morning.

I hope the mountain can hang in there. I will be down later in the season. Where can I rent equipment?

Mr. Gaff.
