I loved:
The terrain, no lines, few posers, steep runs

This was my second time to Mt. Baldy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My girlfriend and played hooky from work on Friday to try and go...but the area was closed due to high winds. So we spent the day up at Mtn. High where we went to both the East and West resorts. The East resort was decent with some long alpine runs, but the West resort was terrible.

The next day (Saturday) we headed over to Baldy for the day. While conditions weren't as good as at Mtn. High (as Mt. Baldy doesn't have the same snow making capacity) the experience was great! The day was gorgeous, the runs were steep, there were no lines...all in all a great day.

That said...Baldy isn't for everyone. For those who want a resort style skiing with the luxuries of the large resorts...baldy isn't for you. But if you like steep runs, challenging terrain, down to earth people, good skiers, cheap beer...Baldy is the place to go. Just wish it would snow more...
