I got up to Baldy at around 11 AM today (giving time for sun to warm up hard
snow). When I arrived the fog was up to the Notch. I went to Thunder Mtn.,
which had better visibility. I expected icy conditions, but didn't find any.
Skier packed most places, with some loose stuff (rather heavy), that hadn't
been skied out in some of the tree runs. I enjoyed Andy's Alley and Herb's
Hollow the most. The parking lot runs were ok. I skied Bentley's once and the
furthest one south once. Both were very skiable, though a little tougher than
Andy's and Herb's, since the lower runs hadn't been skied as much. The
visibility was rather poor oftentimes, although skiing in the trees helped
some. A decent day overall. Amazing ski-anywhere coverage still, although you
have to pick your route carefully near the bottom of the parking lot runs, as
some obstacles are present.
