My wife and I spent two days skiing at Snow Valley. This resort is often passed over by those on their way to the Big Bear resorts. This is a very friendly, family oriented resort with no lift lines and nice employees. They have $19 tickets on Wednesdays and $40 any day tickets from Sports Chalet, Sports Authority and other places. While not quite as challenging as the Big Bear resorts it is much less crowded and a lot of fun. Much closer than the Big Bear resorts too. The only down side was that the most challenging terrain, Slide Peak, was closed. Other than that it was a perfect weekend. Typical spring conditions; firm in the morning and softening by mid morning, slush in the afternoon. But a few clouds and some light wind kept the snow skiable all day.
